Thought for Today
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Procrastination
is like masterbation.
At first it feels good,
but in the end
you are only screwing yourself.
  I posted this at HomeInsteaders.com, a thought for today site I started. Particularly since I posted a rather worthless thought to go with it, I decided to remove it and bring it here. Only the quote and not the worthless trash that I wrote to go with it.I have realized that I am not especially fond of writing. I find it to be a cumbersome chore, akin to mopping floors or something. No offense to the floor mopers, I appreciate what you do.
I know this must change if I am to be successful at earning my income on-line. I am learning the art of duplication and find I don’t rewrite as much as I used to. I started the thought for today site in hopes of giving me that outlet of writing just for the joy of telling a story. Time constraints have clearly compromised the quality of resent posts. I will continue with the site giving it what I can.
This blog will now become my place to just write. About my day, my life, my dogs and what ever else comes to mind. A place to help me curb this problem I have with masturbation, uh, err I mean procrastination. A place to polish this craft of words.
Honing ones skills is necessary in any trade or craft. I will use this area to learn to construct two to five sentences having relevant content and calling it a paragraph. I will just come here and write.
Celebrations are on as we type this, my new keyboard and mouse came today. I was down by the creek cutting firewood when I spotted the brown truck heading towards the house. I flagged him down, I knew what he had and he didn’t need to go to the house with it. Sure enough there it was, I was tired of cutting wood anyway.
The keyboard is a Microsoft curved slim profile. The coolest feature is the volume control and pause button for my media player, I will use that a lot.
I am in heaven with my Logitech track man. I have used one of these for about fifteen years. I absolutely love these. Thumtrack ball, two buttons and a scroll wheel. My very first one didn’t even have the scroll wheel. There was a time when these were difficult to find. Very simple design and very easy to use. However, there is a learning and adjustment curve that varies with each individual. Once you adjust you won’t miss your mouse again.
This is the virgin post with my new keyboard and mouse. Here’s to many more!
